On the occasion of the public debate promoted by the Forum of Mediterranean Women Journalists and NOIRETEDONNE in Lecce on 27 November 2025 (Si vis pacem: UN Resolution 1325 and the Role of Women in Conflict Prevention) and further developed by CeSPI (Centre for International Policy Studies) through its initiative “Promoting the Women, Peace and Security Agenda for a More Equitable and Inclusive Society, our President, Maura Viezzoli, has authored an in-depth article marking the 25th anniversary of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325.

Culture for the promotion of Peace, Reconciliation and Social Cohesion

In Mozambique, the Pro-Paz project uses art and culture as engines for social cohesion. By creating safe spaces and fostering community dialogues, we work to rebuild trust between individuals and groups scarred by years of hostility. Particular attention is given to vulnerable women and former women combatants, supporting them through empowerment journeys that break the cycle of marginalisation.

Development of fish farming with the cooperative of former combatants of the FARC-EP

The project, financed by the EU Peace Fund, intended to contribute to the reintegration process of former FARC-EP combatants through the development and implementation of a sustainable and profitable fish farming business model within the framework of the social and solidarity economy. It helped with the implementation of 7 productive nodes at the departmental level, with the definition of a market strategy, and the consolidation of the cooperative's organisation from a technical, financial and management point of view.
