Once again this year, at CISP we have worked stubbornly to transform the principles we believe in into facts: that, as human beings, it is our responsibility to care for our fellow human beings, support them in their efforts to improve their living conditions, as well as assist them in crises.

This means being actively present for many years in difficult countries. It will be 40 years in 2023. Forty years in which we have worked, often in risky and uncertain situations, to improve the conditions of individuals and communities in situations of extreme poverty and marginalization.

Once a model of African democracy, Mali has been living for more than a decade in a very serious situation of conflict and political instability.

Through our work in the country, we offer migrant communities counselling centres, information, and psychosocial services adapted to their needs; we monitor, report, and publicly denounce human rights violations against migrants; and we work to enable them to emerge from frequent situations of confinement, exclusion, rejection by the community, and discrimination often associated with abuse and violence.

Social and behavioral change communication (SBCC) is used to promote changes in knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors. To achieve its goals, SBCC follows a systematic approach that includes formative research, behavior analysis, communication planning, execution, and monitoring. Dissemination of activities and messages occurs through a variety of channels and social contexts to reach the different types of stakeholder groups, individuals, communities, service providers and policy makers.
